Big things come in small packages, and this small package packs a heaping hunk of melody and melancholy. Coming hot on the heels of their killer WE HAVE THE FACTS disc, Death Cab For Cutie here reprise a couple of those songs with alternative versions and lay down three more terrific tunes.
Working in the standard guitar/bass/drums format, with occasional keyboards, there's nothing surprising about their sound. However, it's Ben Gibbard's unique sense of melody and strong emotional vibe that makes hunting down every note by this band a satisfying endeavor.
